Heathcotes Outside, a division of the Lindley Group, has been signed up by Lancashire County Cricket Club for a two year rolling management catering contract to assist in developing the hospitality and banqueting services at the world renowned Old Trafford cricket ground.
Following the opening of The Point – the ground's prestigious new purpose-built hospitality facility which can accommodate up to 1,000 guests – Heathcotes Outside will work alongside the in-house team to expand the venue's hospitality and banqueting business. The two teams have already built up a rapport with Heathcotes Outside having been involved in the design of the new kitchen facilities for The Point.
As part of the arrangement, Michelin accredited chef, Paul Heathcote MBE – founder of Heathcotes Outside – is taking up the role of Catering Consultant at Lancashire CCC where he will work alongside Head Chef, Nic Ashurst, to create inspirational and contemporary menus based on using the best quality local produce.
Commenting on the new liaison Geoff Durbin, Lancashire CCC's Commercial Director says: "At LCCC we have always focused on providing the very highest standards of food and service for our customers.
"The Lancashire catering team has established an excellent reputation for the quality of its cuisine, and we saw the opening of The Point as a perfect opportunity to collaborate with Heathcotes Outside. As one of the market leaders in this field Heathcotes Outside is accredited with raising the bar in sports hospitality catering, and Paul's input will undoubtedly bring a new dimension to our catering and conference and banqueting operations."
Gary Bates, Managing Director of Heathcotes Outside, says: "Heathcotes Outside's roots are very firmly in the north west and we're delighted to have the opportunity to work with Lancashire CCC on as they embark on an exciting new era which will consolidate Old Trafford's reputation as a premiere hospitality venue offering an exquisite fine dining experience."
The appointment strengthens Lindley Group's presence in the cricketing world, where the company also provides the catering services at Nottinghamshire CCC's Trent Bridge, Essex CCC's Ford County Ground and Northants Cricket.
Heathcotes Outside's high-profile contracts across the north west include ACC Liverpool's Echo Arena and BT Convention Centre, Preston North End FC, Warrington Wolves RLFC and their most recent appointment – a three-year deal to manage all corporate and consumer hospitality at the prestigious Liverpool Boat Show. The company also provided catering for September's Liberal Democrat Party Conference in Liverpool.
