Many Lindley sites have fixed catering outlets – we specialise in the redevelopment and enhancement of cafés and restaurants within our client sites. This involves anything from the odd lick of paint to a full refurbishment, rebranding and re-launching the outlet as a destination in its own right.
We also continually look at new innovations within the restaurant sector. Our most recent advancement is to include the facility to book tables online - speeding up the booking process and enhancing customer service.
Since its opening in spring 2011, this gallery has flourished. We have worked in partnership with The Hepworth Wakefield to create a suitable café environment and food offering that could be enjoyed by all. As time progresses, it is our intention that this café will become a prime dining destination in Wakefield. Already, we hold gourmet dining evenings and host other special events such as Jazz evenings, as well as offering special menus for occasions such as Valentine's and Mother’s Day.
Using our initiative and experience within the heritage sector we reinvigorated the Malvern Theatre's restaurant, rebranding it as Scene Bistro to create a more suitable dining experience for theatregoers and visitors alike. It has fast become a destination in its own right. The food offer is a classic bistro style, using regional suppliers, and concentrates on delivering high quality, freshly prepared produce.
Our objective at Malvern Theatres was to change customers’ perceptions of the restaurant; it is an everyday dining experience, not just a pre-theatre restaurant. In order to achieve this objective we carried out a refurbishment programme in September 2011 that comprised of completely transforming the foyer space to an enclosed restaurant.
We installed a fixed privacy screen to give diners the semblance of privacy; this also generated a casual, relaxed dining experience. We also designed and implemented a brand new front and back bar counter with a chilled and ambient wine display. During the day, the bistro also serves as a café and a selection of mouth-watering homemade cakes are displayed attractively on the counter.
Surrounded by antique aeroplanes and situated in an environment steeped in aeronautical history we have revolutionised the café and recreated the counter and multi-deck so that it resembles the exterior of a helicopter.
The food offer takes into account the varied visiting demographic. We have introduce a simple hot food range over the counter such as a one-bowl casserole served with fresh, artisan bread accompanied by a daily selection of delicious grab and go sandwiches, baguettes, salads and yoghurt pots.
